My first SX Race ever. Something new for me…but I couldn’t wait to ride. I changed back to Suzuki and I´m riding for Twenty Suspension now. On Saturday afternoon was free practice it went pretty good, but it was more difficult than I thought. ;-)
My start in the first heat was bad, cause we had to pull numbers to pick a start gate. I pulled number 14 and we were 18 girls and 12 girls could go in the first line at the startgate, so I had to go in the second line. Then I also crashed in the first corner I got stuck in a hail bail. I was last then and I came all the way back to 4th and then I girl came in between a double.
I was in the air already and I didn’t want to jump on her so I jumped to the side and I landed up in a hail bail again. My hot start broke off and it was difficult to start the bike. I finished 10th in the first heat. I was disappointed but it was ok cause only the Sunday counts for the championship. The second heat I could win in front of Nicky Van Wordragen.
The free practice on Sunday was good again and I could to the fastest lap. The start in the first heat was good and I was second behind Nicky. I could pass her after a few laps and I could pull away. I won the first heat in front of Nicky and Marianne Veenstra. The start in the second heat was better and I was first. I could pull away again and I won again in front of Nicky and Marianne.
In the championship I’m leading now with 12 points and the next race is in Venray in two weeks time. This weekend I will start in Geneva in Switzerland at the SX!
I want to say thank you to, Suzuki, Fox, Motul, Gigga Grafics, Twin Air, Ortema, Goldfren, Pirelli, Freegun und Splitdesigns for the good support!
